The Gorgora Eco-Resort is a luxury eco-tourism development located on the northern shores of Lake Tana in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia. Developed as part of the Dine for Ethiopia initiative, the project combines hospitality, environmental sustainability, cultural heritage, and local economic development.
Location
Gorgora is a historic town and peninsula located southwest of Gondar on the northern edge of Lake Tana. The resort occupies approximately 40 hectares of forested land across three hills, offering views of Lake Tana and access to the area's rich natural and cultural heritage.

A fish hatchery at the resort also supports the conservation of endemic fish species found in Lake Tana, contributing to efforts to protect the lake's unique aquatic ecosystem.
